A beginner basic lesson is included with admission and is a great way to learn in a low pressure, fun environment. No partner or experience are needed, come on time if you'd like to learn.

This is an alcohol-free, family friendly event that's safe and fun for all ages.

Hey guys, are you thinking about Valentine's Day? Do you have something fun planned? Although we can't help you with the actual holiday (we believe in you, you've got this), we can suggest that you bring her dancing the day after! It's a great way to round out the holiday!

But what if you're single? You can't come... Just kidding! Only kidding! There will be plenty of other single folks to mingle and dance with and as always, it will be loads of fun!

Dancing will start around 8pm or shortly thereafter and is just $5/person.

In addition, we thought we'd do something a little different this time and will be offering a 1 hour Balboa lesson from 7-8pm. This class will be $5/person ($10 for the whole evening).

If we had to pick a favorite of the swing dance styles, it would probably be Balboa. This lovely dance was developed out of necessity back in the day as dance floors became too crowded to swing out or do many of the animated moves we're accustomed to implementing in our swing dancing today. Although originally done in confined spaces, Balboa is so much fun and can be danced just about anywhere and to a variety of music. Not sure what it looks like? Check out this spectacular example! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQtpZMUjE6M Fun fact, the woman with the long dark hair in the final demo is Sylvia Sykes who was one of the "original" Balboa dancers and has danced with many of the people who invented the dance!

Important caveat; Balboa is a close dance and we recommend being comfortable remaining in close embrace with different people as we will probably ask you to rotate during the lesson. If you're not comfortable with this idea, feel free to message us to schedule your own private lesson.

We're excited to introduce you to this dance and hope many of you will fall in love with it like we have! Please show up on time if you plan to participate in the lesson as we won't be able to backtrack for latecomers.

Happy New Year!

We're all set to dance away 2018 and swing in the new year! We'll have a fun countdown to midnight and raise a glass of (non-alcoholic) bubbly to 2019. We might even throw something at you from the balcony, haha. As is tradition, we'll have something fun in store come the stroke of 12. 

North End Swing is the place to be on New Years Eve. We'll have a wonderful time together and provide the perfect close to a great year of dancing!

This might just be our favorite dance of the year. Come join us for a joyous time with friends as we dance to Jazzy renditions of Christmas classics.

The Sassafras will be decorated in a lovely Christmas style. We invite you to wear something white and festive in keeping with our “white Christmas” theme. This will be a lovely night!

Black Friday has become one of our favorite days to dance over the years and we think you will agree. It's a very special time as we always have friends and relatives in town for Thanksgiving who show up at the dance the following day. It's a very happy reunion! 

Being the day after Thanksgiving, we like to remind everyone that this is an unbeatable way to start burning off those extra calories while having fun!

Well, here it is folks! An event many of you have been waiting for all year, the annual Black Light Dance! 

This event has turned into a sensation and seems to get bigger and better every year. When it comes to lighting, sound, and effects, we don't mess around! Thanks to Justin at Noise Box Productions, we will have the Sassafras completely transformed into an EPIC party atmosphere! 

Come dressed in your favorite whites and neons! Highlighters and glow sticks will be provided to enhance your personal style. Seriously folks, we've seen some impressive costumes in the past, and we can't wait to see what you come up with this year!

So, you've heard all about Smooth Sailing, right? If not, read about it here, but we wanted to make this weekend a little extra special and will also be hosting a dance with LIVE music on Saturday night at the Sassafras! 

We'd love to see you both nights but if your schedule doesn't allow it, hopefully, having an event on Friday and Saturday will allow flexibility for you to make it to at least one! 

We first learned of Rhythm & Ramble (Bozeman, MT) at Big Sky Weekend this year, where they blew everyone away with their incredible Jazz! We fell instantly in love with them and knew we had to get them up to Kalispell to play at one of our dances. If you haven't heard them yet, you're in for a real treat. Their music is simply sensational! Rhythm & Ramble will be playing on the Far West boat on Friday the 7th as well. After several years' sabbatical, the popular Smooth Sailing event returns!

Join us for a fun evening cruise and dance aboard the Far West out of Lakeside, MT. We will depart at 7pm sharp so whatever you do, don't be late... unless you plan on swimming (and you better be fast!). In fact, why take the chance of (literally) "missing the boat"? Show up plenty early and hang out with your friends and fellow dancers until we're ready to cast off and head out to sea for our 2 hour tour.

Once out on the lake, we'll be serenaded by a wonderful Jazz band from Bozeman, Rhythm & Ramble. That's right, not only do we get to dance on a boat, but we get LIVE music too!

We intend to maintain a dry ship so there will be no alcohol on this cruise and all ages are welcome.

If an evening cruise and lovely Jazz music sounds attractive to you but you're not sure about the whole, dancing on a moving boat thing, rest assured, you won't be alone and are more than welcome to come and enjoy the show and won't be obligated to dance.

So how much will this adventure set you back? We're keeping the fare consistent with normal rates for tours aboard the Far West (a few bucks less in fact) at $20/person.

Additionally, we will be hosting a dance the following evening, Saturday the 8th, in the Sassafras which will also feature live music by Rhythm & Ramble! We'd love to see you both nights, but if your schedule doesn't allow it, at least we'll look for you at one or the other. Come dance to LIVE music by The Company Brass!

The Company Brass doesn't play often these days, but thanks to Fred Sego for organizing this event, we have another opportunity to dance to familiar classics by our friends at the Company Brass for the unheard of low price of just $6/person! That's really quite the deal for live music. 

Come if you're able, you will have a great time. The Eagles have agreed to allow minors to stay for the duration as long as they are accompanied by adults from North End Swing so this can still be considered a family friendly event!
